A Letter from Tarik
To my neighbors in the Fifth District,
I never imagined myself entering politics or running for office, but here I am, almost a week away from an election that could transform my life and everything I love.
I've been campaigning for more than a year, and from day one, I knew that a lot of people wouldn't take my campaign seriously, that I would be marginalized, and that I wouldn't win endorsements from organizations or politicians. While some of these obstacles came as painful and disappointing, these outcomes weren't my priority and were expected.
My priority from day one was and remains you. For that reason, I worked tirelessly on this campaign, standing for hours collecting signatures, knocking on doors, driving across all the towns and cities in the district. I even went around to communities that candidates usually skip, just to hear their story and bring their voices forward.
With this heart-to-heart strategy, my campaign, despite its limited resources, was able to exceed expectations and reach the finish line.
While I was faced with a lot of harassment and Islamophobic attacks, I've always tried to listen, even to those who attacked me, and tried to find common ground, because I've always viewed myself as a bridge between the divided groups in our district: the old and the new, the progressive and the moderate, the left and the right, and every minority community in between.
Having lived through a civil war, in a country that tore itself apart over division, I detest anything that causes division among the American people. I reject labels and the hateful rhetoric that has alienated groups and brought us to this point. I put the people of this country first, and I lead with love, which means listening to everyone and representing everyone.
While we might not agree on everything, I am appealing to you to vote for me, a true representative who genuinely cares for you and who will work to turn this house divided against itself into a united house that can stand for a nation each one of us will be proud to call our own.
Election Day is September 1st, and early voting has already started. Find your polling location here.
Let's make the impossible possible and win this election.
With love,
Tarik

It's Time to Bring Our Money Home.
Tarik Samman is a Massachusetts-born union organizer and researcher at Harvard Law School who has dedicated his career to advancing justice, protecting workers, and strengthening communities. As the son of Syrian immigrants who fled Damascus during the Syrian Civil War, he understands both the promise of America and the human consequences of war.
Tarik believes our government must rethink its priorities. Instead of spending billions on endless wars abroad that have drained our economy, we should invest those resources in the needs of American families by expanding access to healthcare, improving public education, lowering the cost of childcare, eldercare, and housing, modernizing infrastructure, and creating an economy that works for everyone.
That's why he's running for Congress. It's time to put people before politics and war, and bring our tax dollars home to invest them in Massachusetts working families and communities.

The Problem is Money in Politics
The Solution Is Not Another Career Politician
Money in politics is why we have Endless Wars. Money in politics is why Trump is in power and why Hakeem Jeffries and Katherine Clark have failed to stand up to him and his Epstein class. Money in politics is why working class people in Massachusetts are paying more for healthcare, gas, groceries, and rent while worrying about jobs, AI, and their children's future on this planet.

Enough is enough.
Tarik will bring our money home
from endless wars and:
Fight the Battles Hakeem Jeffries and Katherine Clark Are Too Scared to Fight
Tarik will:
Impeach Trump
Punish the Epstein class for violating women's rights
End money in politics and put people ahead of corporate PACs
Confront campaign and governmental corruption at every level
Make the American Dream Affordable
We can’t thrive if we are fighting to survive. That’s why Tarik will prioritize:
Affordable and Safe Housing
Medicare for All
Affordable Childcare
Education Without Barriers or Burdens
Taxing the Billionaires
Restore Humanity and Freedom
Many red lines have been crossed, from attacking our universities to throwing our immigrants into detention camps to silencing the voices of reason in this country. These actions do not represent who we are, and if our representatives refuse to act, then we must answer the call ourselves. Tarik will:
Defend academic freedom and freedom of speech rather than suppressing them
Protect independent media
Abolish ICE and end the politics of dehumanization and demonization of our immigrants

Why Tarik Samman?
And Why Not
Katherine Clark or Jonathan Paz?
As a non-politician and the youngest candidate on the ballot, I am running against two career politicians in the primary: 13-year incumbent Katherine Clark and Jonathan Paz,
a former Waltham City Councilor and Flock Safety surveillance representative.
